Put away the bath salts and indulge in this cosmic, hypnotic, nearing-middle-age postcard from electronic duo Peaking Lights. Directed by LEGS, the video turns an ode to their young son into a trippy '70s fever dream, envisioning parenthood as a kind of blissed-out psychosis. All the psychedelics belie or explain the impressive wizkid process behind Peaking Lights, who are showcased in a 2011 film by Ben Poster called Turn On, Tune In, Drop Out, which you can watch on YouTube, and in our documentary, below. "I'm picking up on the waste of what consumer culture is just throwing away," says Aaron, who builds the group’s machinery out of discarded electronics. "It's just garbage to a lot of people. But to me, I'm building something that I find a relationship with, building something that someone else can also find a relationship with." It’s not always safe though. "It never feels good to have 110 volts flowing into your skull."
