Twitch, the live video game streaming platform Amazon acquired last year for $1 billion, is not just for games.

On Thursday, Twitch announced that it's honoring the birthday of Bob Ross, host of the seminal PBS show The Joy of Painting, by opening Twitch Creative. The new category, which is sponsored by Photoshop developer Adobe, is getting a new landing page dedicated to Twitch users who stream themselves painting, drawin80780g, and so on. If you go there now, you'll find streamers like Geers_art, a digital painter and illustrator; Evilfx, a professional prop and costume artist; and Vieparlafoi, a glass artist.

The best part of the announcement, though, is that Twitch also secured the rights to broadcast Bob Ross' entire The Joy of Painting archive. All 403 episodes will be broadcast on Twitch from October 29 November 6 on twitch.tv/bobross. So if want to learn how to paint happy little bushes, Twitch has the hookup.

"The Creative community was born from the gaming community on Twitch, as top broadcasters began broadcasting creation of fan art during gameplay down time," said Bill Morrier, Head of Twitch Creative. "This attracted more broadcasters to the platform whose primary focus was on artistic endeavors. With their passion, variety, camaraderie, and sheer organic growth, they inspired us to put a much larger spotlight on their community."
