This Kid Told the Make-A-Wish Foundation He Just Wanted to Blow Things Up

And did he ever.

What do you do when you've all but beaten cancer? Blow shit up, duh.

Twelve year old Declan McLean-Pauley was diagnosed with leukemia in 2015, but is now in remission and ready to light it up. Make-A-Wish Australia linked him and his family up with the The Australian Federal Police's (AFP) Specialist Response Group, who ran Declan through a series of drills, including a staged hostage scenario, armored car training, breaching exercises, and water policing, according to Canberra news.

Sergeant Peter Murphy said he's "got an aptitude" for really blasting demo walls and doors all to hell. That's quite a compliment from a tactical explosives professional.

"My name is Declan, I'm 12, and my wish was to blow something up," this kid who totally gets it told IBT. Aptitude, indeed.
