I am interested in what the growth of technology and what this means for natural organic matter like plants and minerals, especially in the fields of space exploration, genetic engineering, cloning and the like. The uncertainty and otherworldly possibilities surrounding these kind of sciences are pretty exciting to an artist.

Space in particular has always been something I've been interested in, it's a big unknown, an abstract concept in and of itself - I think that is echoed in most of these images, which include diamonds, the green mineral Galena and a Phalaenopsis, known as a moth orchid, an artificial, engineered hybrid of other orchids, which looks particularly alien.

These fantastic photos were taken on the Huawei P9 with the new dual lens camera co-engineered with Leica.
