Look, we've all had a bad time on weed. I once smoked a spliff of "Lazy Bee" to myself, stood up and went blind for five minutes from the head-rush – literally just white noise and vague outlines of people and objects where my vision should have been.So I, for one, can sympathise with the four men who had to be rescued from England's highest mountain this weekend after "becoming incapable of walking due to cannabis use", as the local police force put it.At about 6:30PM on Saturday, Cumbria police were called to Scafell Pike – the 3,210 ft mountain in the Lake District – and, working with the Wasdale mountain rescue team, managed to escort the very stoned men to safety by 9:45PM, reports the Guardian. No arrests have been made, but Supt Justin Bibby of Cumbria police did have some sensible words of advice for the four men: "Taking alcohol or any other substance that could impair your judgment significantly increases your risk of getting into trouble. It has no place on a mountain."More on VICE:Inside the UK's Secret Cannabis Coffee ShopsThe Story of 'Skunk', the Drug Your Mum Warned You AboutWeed Critics Describe What It's Like to Have the World's Best JobShould You Take This Legal Supplement If You Smoke Skunk?
