Back in October, PC Music signed with Columbia Records to pursue what they called "A MULTI-TIER ATTACK EXPOSING THE RADICAL DNA OF CHART MUSIC." Since then, they've put out three official releases: Danny L Harle's Broken Flowers EP, Hannah Diamond's single "Hi", and most recently, "Only You," by Chinese pop star Chris Lee (Li Yuchun 李宇春), who has released seven #1 albums, numerous #1 singles and starred in three films in her country. This latest release now has an angular, gradient-laden video, directed by Kinga Burza (who has previously done videos for Katy Perry, Lana Del Rey, and Ellie Goulding) with art direction by PC Music's creative director Finn Mactaggart, aka Finn Diesel.In a statement for the press release, Mactaggart gives some background for the video: "My idea to create a video in which the feeling that both tracks reflected each other was clear," he explains. "Within the video, Chris' performance constantly addresses itself. My hope was that the structure of the video and its performance felt as unique as the songs. It is the result of a really satisfying collaboration. Chris knows exactly how to act in front of the camera and we were so fortunate to have Kinga Burza direct this.
