Listen to a Bleeped Version of the Mooch's Legendary Interview

Though we don't get to hear everything, the sunniest moments—"fucking paranoid schizophrenic," "suck my own cock"—made it in there.

As you might have heard, last week the New Yorker's White House reporter, Ryan Lizza, received a pretty entertaining phone call from the guy Trump had just tapped to lead the White House communications team—Anthony "the Mooch" Scaramucci.

After segments of that on-the-record call were published—including the Mooch slamming his colleagues at the upper echelons of Team Trump, threatening to "eliminate everyone in the comms team," calling Reince Priebus a "fucking paranoid schizophrenic," and accusing Steve Bannon of "trying to suck [his] own cock"—many people wondered a) Where's the audio? and b) what the hell Lizza thought about the exchange.

Now, we have a little more insight into both. The New Yorker has decided to feature bits of that recorded interview, as well as commentary from Lizza, on its podcast: WNYC's The New Yorker Radio Hour.

And while it wasn't able to fit the entire call in the episode—most disappointingly, all the swearing has been bleeped out—we do get to hear a few golden moments. Both "fucking paranoid schizophrenic" and "suck my own cock" made it in there, along with a brief segment in which Scaramucci refers to himself in the third person, literally as "the Mooch."

Although the Mooch was fired just ten days into his tenure on the Hill, it's probably not the last we'll hear from him. According to CNN, he's planning to share "his side of the story" during an online event streamed on Friday and will likely address the conversation that ended his career.

Give the recording above a listen to hear choice snippets from what Lizza called "the most unusual conversation I have ever had" with a politician.
