After being buried alive for a week, frozen in a block of ice, starved in a suspended apartment, and drowned alive, David Blane has managed to come up with a stunt that is somehow even more life-threatening than his previous challenges. This weekend, The Ultrabook™ Experience is hosting an event at Pier 54 (West 14th Street in NYC) which will feature the notorious daredevil deprived of food, water, and sleep, enveloped in a 1,000,000 volt cocoon of electricity streaming from seven Tesla coils.Blaine will stand in the middle of a 44-foot diameter globe for the entire duration of the performance, and you can watch him stare death in the face starting tonight, October 5th, with doors opening at 6:30 PM. Brought to you by the Intel-inspired Ultrabook, the event will stay open 24 hours a day for three days and three nights, culminating in a yet mysterious finale on the evening of Monday, October 8th. It’s free and open to the public. If you’re not in NYC, check out the global live stream on YouTube (LeTV in China) all weekend, with satellite interactive pop-ups running in London, Beijing, Sydney, and Tokyo at at selected times late Friday night.Don’t miss ELECTRIFIED this weekend!Photos by Bryan Derballa.@CreatorsProject
