Breaking the Waves, a Mixtape of Hacked Music from Bent Fest

The "Bent Festival":http://bentfestival.org/2011/, which celebrates the wonderful craftsmanship and music of old hacked electronics, started yesterday in Brooklyn. Read "about it":http://motherboard.tv/2011/6/22/bent-festival-2011-our-favorite-music...

The Bent Festival, which celebrates the wonderful craftsmanship and music of old hacked electronics, started yesterday in Brooklyn. Read about it, see a video we made at last year’s festival, and dig into this mixtape of bent sounds we made, featuring tracks by Pete Edwards, Lesley Flanigan, Computer at Sea and others. It’s nothing like seeing someone in a Teletubby-on-acid costume coaxing ghostly sounds from a Speak ‘n’ Spell, but it gives you some neon-colored idea of what circuit bending sounds like.
