Watch This 17-Hour Time Lapse of a Crane Putting Another Crane Together

Craneception.

So we know that cranes build themselves, but how long would it take for a crane to build another crane in a city as dense as New York?

This time-lapse video, taken near the Museum of Modern Art, shows the gradual assembly of a 710 HC-L crane that rises to 52 meters (170 ft), and it's built to "meet the expectations of contractors in high-density urban environments," according to the video description. It's oddly like watching a real life LEGO assembly, with all the parts being fitted together.

All in all, it took about 17 hours for one crane to build this.
