Watch These Dudes Soar Over Dubai with Jetpacks

A Swiss pilot known for his aerial stunts has taken to the skies again in what may be the most insane footage of his jetpack-propelled flight yet.

A Swiss pilot known for his aerial stunts has taken to the skies again in what may be the most insane footage of his jetpack-propelled flight yet.

Aerial adventurer Yves Rossy, who goes by the moniker "Jetman," became the first human being in history to fly using a jet-powered wing in 2006. Since then, he's flown all over the world, including Mount Fuji, Rio de Janeiro, and the Grand Canyon.

This time, he has taken his jetpack stunts to Dubai, soaring through the skies with his newfound protege Vince Reffet, or "Jetman Junior."

The video is nearly 12 minutes of super high definition, incredible flight. The two jetmen first rocket over the desert and then move onto the city of Dubai, soaring through the futuristic metropolis and circling and diving around the world's tallest building. (We do have to wonder why the video needed three CG artists; the smoke trails look a bit enhanced in parts, like the shot at 7:14.)

"We love to fly," Rossy said in the video. "We are exploring the limits. We are in an element of nature: air. That element we have to respect like we respect nature, it's so strong, so present. We are just lucky guys that we can play in that element for some small moment."

Set your video playback to the highest resolution you've got and enjoy the miracle of human, jet-propelled flight.
