Watch the Trailer for the New Bond Film, ‘Spectre’

Director Sam Mendes’ second Bond film looks to be as good as his first.

British film company Eon Productions has released a trailer for the new Bond film Spectre, and it looks to be every inch the quintessential Bond movie.

This is director Sam Mendes' second film of the franchise after Skyfall, and Daniel Craig's fourth appearance as James Bond.

The film's title refers to a criminal syndicate and terrorist group that's been a major Bond antagonist since the franchise's earlier days (its last appearance was in 1971's Diamonds Are Forever). Now the group has returned, headed by supervillain Franz Oberhauser, who is played by the excellent Christoph Waltz.

The film also features Ben Whishaw reprising his role as Q, Ralph Fiennes as M, and Lea Seydoux and Monica Bellucci as the "Bond women." Ex-professional wrestler Dave Bautista also makes an appearance.

Charismatic supervillains, beautiful and enigmatic women, fast cars, and helicopters doing barrel rolls—it's certainly a formula, but one that never gets old. The worldwide release is set for early November, and we can't wait.
