Watch a Hailstorm Turn a California Beach Into a Winter Wonderland

Let's talk about this weather.

It really does look like the end is near.

The normally chill folks in Southern California received their own taste of wicked winter weather when a powerful storm dumped hail on the area's usually sunny beaches.

At around 10 AM, rounds of dangerous lightning, loud thunder, and pounding hail swamped areas like Huntington Beach, causing people to freak out about the strange weather.

The National Weather Service in Los Angeles released this video of the storm of doom turning Huntington Beach frighteningly dark and then battering the coast with hail. As a result, the sand and boardwalks was covered in so much hail that it almost looked like snow.

This may be satisfying to see for those stuck in middle of the recent Northeastern winter storms, but the "winter" weather won't stick around for long as forecasters say temperatures will reach back into the 70s by Wednesday.
