This Film Was Maybe Shot in a Fish Bowl Which Does Not Account for How Rad It Is

This glitch hop-backed music video out of Amsterdam is trippy as hell.

Screw the dress and watch this video right now because this will actually blow your mind.

It's hard to parse exactly what went into filming this, but we sleuthed through the comments on the video's Vimeo page and have concluded it's indeed trippy. A commenter thinks it involves a fish tank, paper, lots of paint and an "upside down shot."

Right-ish! "Some things are right and some wrong, but you are close :)," replied its cagey creator Kamiel Rongen. Judging by the artist's portfolio, he's a landscape artists who blows people's minds with intimate shots of creepy aquatic landscapes. "All my visuals are filmed from a fishbowl," he writes. "In my fishbowl I create a world where gravity is changing."

According to his Vimeo profile, these "Waterballets" are created using water and different materials. "After that, I create music that fits the picture," he explains. This video is is part of his Hyde Park series that he displays at art shows in Amsterdam.

Motherboard has reached out to him to figure out this sorcery. It's a mindfuck so we're excited to (hopefully) hear back.
