A new trailer has emerged for Star Wars: The Force Awakens via Star Wars' Korean YouTube channel, with a few seconds of new footage from the upcoming seventh series installment.

Star Wars fans have been concerned that the new films will fall into the same CGI traps that the prequels did, losing the distinct aesthetic that helped make the original trilogy one of cinema's biggest successes. But new director J.J. Abrams (who also rebooted Star Trek) seems committed to doing right by the series' fanbase, bringing in the best special effects has to offer 2015 audiences while staying true to the formula.

The Force Awakens takes place about 30 years after Return of the Jedi, and features most of the original series cast reprising their iconic roles. It's slated for release December 18th of this year—a long awaited Christmas present for many.
