Someone Made a Really Powerful Homemade 40W Laser Shotgun

Don’t stare directly into it.

When a video begins "I just built something so crazy, I'm afraid to use it" then you know there's a slight chance of injury.

Luckily for Drake Anthony, all appendages remained intact following his latest creation. The 22-year-old YouTuber first gained attention for making a 3-watt lightsaber that ignited a piece of wood. This time, he's back with a powerful 40-watt laser shotgun that obliterates anything in sight.

It uses eight 5-watt lasers and mounted onto a giant heatsink and powered by a giant lithium polymer battery pack. Ta da! Anthony admits himself that there is "no good reason for anybody to own something this powerful."

Balloons, ping pong balls, and flash paper all flamed up spectacularly. We'd love to see it pitted against a red hot nickel ball to see how truly powerful it is.
