Mr. Spock's Funeral in 'Wrath of Khan'

A eulogy for Leonard Nimoy's fictional counterpart.

Legendary Star Trek actor Leonard Nimoy died Friday at the age 83.

To much of the world, he was known as Mr. Spock, half-Vulcan half-human who served as the first officer on the Starship Enterprise. He starred in both the television and film versions of the popular sci-fi franchise and charmed the world with his phrase "Live long and prosper."

In this 1982 clip from the film Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan, Spock is fondly remembered by Admiral Kirk, played by William Shatner, and the rest of his crewmates at his funeral.

"Of all the souls that I've encountered," Admiral Kirk says while battling tears "His was the most human."

R.I.P. Spock.
