Motherboard is looking for UK contributors for regular blogging and occasional features, covering the tech and science stories that are shaping the world around us.

A good Motherboard post takes an intelligent look at timely issues and adds more insight and fresh angles to the infinite expanse of tech stories out there. That could mean setting breaking news in context, connecting the dots between events, or looking at where things are headed next.

We're not interested in listing specs off a box; we want to find stories that are just emerging, or add something more to those that are still developing. And of course, we're always intrigued by the kind of off-kilter phenomena you haven't seen covered anywhere else. Stories about ancient computers, North Korea's space program, or the latest climate change data are all equally awesome.

Many of our posts fit a bloggier format, using multiple sources to discuss and share stories from futures past and present. We also love featuresoriginal reporting, and interviews.

As UK editor, I'm keen to see fresh takes from local writers. Stories don't have to be focused on the UK, though you should have an eye for the British scene.

Please send pitches my way at victoria.turk@vice.com. All pitches should include what's new and exciting about the story, a brief outline, and a potential headline. Please send clips as well, and let us know a bit about yourself.
