Linkin Park Wants to Take a Vacation in Space

For the first episode of our mini-series Spaced Out with Friends, we hung out with Mike Shinoda and Joe Hahn to talk about living in the great beyond.

I've often dreamt of flying a rocket ship into space—as I'm sure we all have—and always get stuck on one thing: What's your spaceflight mixtape going to be? My most recent vote has been for Nazareth's "Hair of the Dog," which would just crush as you raced out of the atmosphere strapped to a massive tube of explosive material.

But I'm just some guy on the internet, and no one cares about my musical suggestions. What does Linkin Park think?

"I wonder if that would be weird, actually, to listen to music," Mike Shinoda told us. "It cheapens the Moon landing. Classical is a better choice than Linkin Park, I can tell you that much.

For the first episode of our mini-series Spaced Out with Friends, we hung out with Shinoda and Joe Hahn to talk about taking a space vacation, and (spoiler) both guys are fully on board to cruise the heavens.

Now, I'm not sure if Linkin Park is actually going to throw a space concert any time soon. But if you, dear reader, want to leave Earth, we've got the perfect chance: We partnered with Urgency Network to send someone to space. And yeah, you'll probably want to bring Hybrid Theory for the ride up.
