Is This Drone Video of the Costa Concordia Disaster Porn?

It's not the first time a small-fry drone has spun up over the doomed cruise liner. But it's certainly the most stunning.

It's not the first time a small-fry drone has spun up over the site of the doomed cruise liner. But it's certainly the most visually stunning.

Which is something the makers of this video grapple with. Team Blacksheep, the drone collective behind stunts that  have buzzed the Statue of Liberty and harassed French cops, know this sort of this steers dangerously close to disaster porn. It explains their disclaimer: "This video is supposed to be a showcase for possible UAV applications." Presumably this means the potential for small, remotely-piloted aircraft to take search and rescue to new heights.

Still: Too soon?
