Here's What the 'Final Fantasy VII' Remake for PS4 Looks Like

Yep, looks like Final Fantasy.

Final Fantasy fans lost their minds earlier this year at E3, when Sony and publisher Square announced a remake of the classic PlayStation role-playing game Final Fantasy VII. After years of begging, the game was finally going to show you how Aeris dies in the end with all the glory of 2015 technology.

Today, at the Sony's PlayStation Experience event in San Francisco, fans finally got to see what the remake would look like when it will release on the PlayStation 4.

The team creating the remake kept some of the original crew that helped make the original Final Fantasy VII a cult classic. Original producer Yoshinori Kitase, director Tetsuya Nomura, and scenario writer Kazushige Nojima are all working on the remake.

We still don't have any solid details on when exactly the game is coming out, but it sure does look like a modern Final Fantasy game. It's got high definition buckles, big hair, and big swords, which is cool, if you're into that kind of thing.

While you wait for the full remake to come out, you can play the PC version of the original Final Fantasy VII, which Sony announced you can buy and download for your PlayStation 4 starting today.
