Here’s Three Hours of Solar Eclipse Footage from Norway, Switzerland, and Russia

It’s not like you’re getting any work done.

Millions of people from Russia to the United Kingdom had their minds blown Friday when a partial solar eclipse submerged them into complete darkness.

The partial solar eclipse happens when the moon blocks out part of the sun from the Earth's view, which is what happened to much of Europe and Asia. However, people located basically everywhere else, like North America, didn't see it.

RT captured this three-hour long timelapse video of what the partial solar eclipse looked like for those lucky enough to have enough time to sit and stare at it.

It's was one of three celestial events that happened today. A total eclipse, which completely blocks out the sun, was only seen in the Faroe Islands in the Norwegian Sea and the nearby island group of Svalbard.

The other event was the vernal equinox, which allegedly signals the beginning of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. But judging by today's weather in the Northeast, that occurrence is highly debatable.
