Current Vibe: ~This New App~

Share your mood with friends using Magic Vibes.

If you want to share your mood with friends and Snapchat isn't your vibe a new app launched this week offers a more calming, picturesque way to chat.

Magic Vibes, co-founded by Amelia Greenhall, Kate Losse, and Kristal Pollack, has a smooth interface where you can type text and emoji to send the combined images to other friends who also have the app. Today I tested out the app in the first ever Vibe interview. Here's what CEO Losse and chief creative officer Greenhall had to say.

Overall, messaging with Losse and Pollack was one of the more calming communication experiences I've had on an app. A far cry from the frenetic back-and-forth of Snapchat, Vibes allowed me to spend time to think about what I had to say, and even make it look nice.

My one qualm with the model is how difficult it is to export the vibes from the app itself, which at the moment only supports Instagram uploads making embedding the images in this article an arduous process. But as Magic Vibes Corporation continues its mission to "create technology that channels the resonance, energy and ease that we want from our social networks," I will be interested to see where the app goes. I definitely got good vibes from my first run with it.
