Post-Merger, AT&T and DirecTV Already Have a Bundle Offer Together

That didn’t take long.

A little more than a week after finalizing their merger, AT&T and DirecTV are already combining satellite TV service and cell phone service into one big bundle. For $200 a month, subscribers can get basic TV service and four phone lines with 10GB of data. The only catch is having to be under a one- or two-year contract.

The bundle, which AT&T claims will save consumers at least $600 over the course of a year, appears to make good on the company's promise to regulators that the merger would help it offer lower prices for consumers.

This is a supplement to AT&T's already existing U-verse television service, with subscribers able to choose which of the two (U-Verse or DirecTV) services they prefer in the deal. There's also the option of broadband internet access for an additonal $30 to $50, with download speeds topping out at 75 megabits per second.

The bundle offer is good through November 14.
