Rams Completely Fake Out Seahawks On Punt Return

The St. Louis Rams pulled off an incredible fake punt return that had Seattle running to wrong side of the field to cover the punt, allowing an easy touchdown.

Usually teams try a fake punt and make a big play out of it. The Rams are clowning the Seahawks so completely right now that they pulled off a fake punt return and got a 90-yard touchdown out of it.

After a drive that stalled out after two Russell Wilson sacks, Seattle was forced to punt from midfield. The punt went to the far side of the field, but the Rams covered it as if it went to the near side. Almost every Seattle defender bit on the fake and Stedman Bailey was able to field the punt and high-step his way into the end zone for an easy touchdown. The play even faked out the cameraman a bit, but you can see Bailey tracking the ball and fielding at the far-side 10-yard line, while nearly everyone else is down by the near sideline.

The outstanding bit of trickery gave the Rams a 21-3 lead over their division rivals and had Pete Carroll seeing phantom fair catch calls.
