On the full moon, residents of Wellington, New Zealand climb to the top of Mount Victoria (196 meters, also a prominant Lord of the Rings location) to watch its breathtaking rise. Last month, photographer Mark Gee positioned himself 2.1 km away, on the other side of the city, to grab this footage of moon fans in relief against the the object of their affection. If you've ever doubted the hurtling through space aspect of our existence, take note.On the video's Vimeo page, Gee explaims: "The video is as it came off the memory card and there has been no manipulation whatsoever. Technically it was quite a challenge to get the final result.
