If you ever taken a Sociology or Psychology class, then you probably know Philip Zimbardo from Stanford University. He's the guy that did the prison experiments – you know, the ones that see what happens to good people when you put them in prison.

Since then he was been working on studies about people's notions of time, and in 2008 he published The Time Paradox. He argues that our time perspective directly influences our lifestyle and outlook. Zimbardo looked into the pace of life in countries around the world, and he finds religion, technology, culture and many other things affect the speed of passing time. He even says we could all get along better if we understood each other's perspective of time.

Here, The Royal Society for the encouragement of the Arts Manufactures and Commerce syncs up a Zimbardo's lecture with animated drawings. Yeah, the video is a little long, but it's worth your time.
