A woman named Nour bakes taboon bread, a simple dish made from flour water and salt, for her three children and husband. Since the winter the family has lived in a makeshift shelter they constructed next to the rubble of their house. All of the family's 30 sheep were killed by shelling. Nour says the rough living conditions have been particularly tough on her baby daughter, born just after the war. "She's been sick a lot of times, it's exhausting for a child to live like this, without proper food or a proper home," she told VICE News. Photo credit: Harriet Salem
