Fatima Al Qadiri, who also goes by Ayshay, is an artist based in New York who composed each song on her new album, Genre-Specific Experience, using a controller keyboard with virtual instruments – and only one three-second sample throughout. To make the videos to accompany the music – a range of juke, hip-hop, dubstep, electro-tropicalia and 90s Gregorian trance, she enlisted other artists. “Corpcore” was made by Ryan Trecartin and Rhett LaRue.
