Download Lindsay Lowend's "Basement Dweller Overture"

Prepare to break your brainpiece.

Art by Lowbros

As far as newcomers go, Lindsay Lowend had a pretty damn good year. Certainly a better one than the perennially behind-bars former starlet who inspired the name. That one wasn't even able to secure an Ibiza residency or DJ on Ellen. Lame!

The Washington-based producer, who to our knowledge has has a clean legal record, put down his much anticipated Wind Fish EP on Symbols earlier in the year. Staying true to his love for instrumental brain twisters he sent us over a freebie of the new heater, "Basement Dweller Overture."

Is the title on this one an ode to the basement rave? Or maybe he just made the track while dungeon-crawling in Zelda? The track serves everthing from classic Lowend Nintendo sounds to high-pitched vocoder croons (from a Japanese virtual superstar named Hatsune Miku) and baroque, arpeggio-soaked breakdowns. This one will boggle your mind, body and soul. In a good way of course.
