In what seems like yet another reinvention, Creator Tom Jenkinson, known to the world of electronic music as Squarepusher, has announced his new album, Ufabulum. The record will come out this May on Warp Records. Regarding his new sound, the artist says, “I've started thinking about pure electronic music again. Something very melodic, very aggressive.”Over the course of his past few records, Squarepusher has certainly demonstrated diverse ability in both of those areas. Judging by the 14 second teaser released with the announcement (above), his early acid house influences are back, a would-be change from 2010’s band concept Shobaleader One. However, for a man who never ceases to shock and amaze with each new record, predicting his new sound is a near impossible feat.Along with the album, Squarepusher is unveiling a brand new live show, and it looks like LEDs will be a big part of it.
