It’s hard to tell what’s most eerie about these videos (apart from their mere existence): that these contestants were asked to make sounds of animals and machines, or that they obliged.

In any case, they provide a useful reminder that animal sounds sound different depending on where you are in the world. The sound of a robot however is universal.
