When Spike Jonze poses those burning questions about robots – can they dream? do they have feelings? – he isn’t exactly entering Ray Kurzweil territory. He’s imagining what might happen when a pair of lonely robots played by Andrew Garfield and Sienna Gillory get their wires tangled up in the miasma of a near-future Los Angeles. Think of it as the hardware analogue to the playful but fragile emotional world of the Wild Things.

More old-fashioned: the 30-minute Sundance-debuted, Absolut-sponsored film isn’t streaming in the traditional way: it’s showing every couple of hours at imheremovie.com. Or you can just watch it above.
